Suspended Plate Magnet (SPM) Suspended Plate Magnets are suspended above conveyed materials to extract tramp metal. SPM’s are utilized in applications where there are limited or occasional tramp issues. Being that the SPM’s are permanent magnets there is no electrical hook ups. There are also no moving parts; therefore, maintenance is limited to removal of tramp metal from the magnets surface.
